Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will approach northwestern Victoria on Tuesday before crossing the State on Wednesday. The high will move to the Tasman Sea on Thursday as the next cold front crosses waters south of the Bight. The front will affect Victoria on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers mainly near the coast and about the eastern ranges, falling as snow above 1500 metres. Dry over the northern plains. West to southwesterly winds, fresh along the coast.Tuesday 17 JuneMorning fog patches over the north then fine. Isolated showers in the south and about the eastern ranges. A generally cool and partly cloudy day with light to moderate southwesterly winds, fresh about the east coast.Wednesday 18 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers possible near the Gippsland coast until early afternoon but dry elsewhere. A cool and partly cloudy day with light winds.Thursday 19 JuneMorning fog and frost patches over the east. A cool and dry day with high cloud increasing from the west. Light to moderate northerly winds.Friday 20 JuneScattered showers over the southwest and about the northeast ranges, falling as snow above 1500 metres. Isolated showers over most remaining districts, but dry over the far northwest. A cool day with moderate to fresh northwest to northerly winds later shifting westerly across western districts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
