MELBOURNE - Jun 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak cold front will move through the far southeastern New South Wales later on Monday as a strong high pressure system north of the Bight moves east extending a ridge across the west and northeast and to the northern Tasman Sea . The ridge is expected to weaken during Friday allowing another, stronger cold front to cross the state. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers or drizzle areas on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges tending scattered on the Alps in the afternoon with snow showers above about 1500 metres. Areas of morning fog and frost over the ranges and west. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh along parts of the coast at first, tending northwesterly in southern inland districts later.Tuesday 17 JuneMorning cloud and drizzle on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges. The chance of late showers on the central part of the coastal fringe. Morning fog and frost patches about the ranges and southern inland. Partly cloudy in the south, mostly sunny in the north. Southwest to southerly winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Wednesday 18 JuneIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges, except for the far south coast. Areas of morning fog and frost inland, then a mostly sunny afternoon. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Thursday 19 JuneIsolated showers along the north coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere.
