MELBOURNE - Jun 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough with a low embedded in it is moving across southeastern New South Wales. The trough will move off shore during Saturday morning and the low will deepen before moving away from the coast later on Sunday as a strong, slow-moving high pressure system moves over southeastern Australia extending a ride to the western Tasman Sea. This high is expected to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Friday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy in the far northwest. Rain areas in the east clearing in the morning but showers developing in the afternoon. Isolated showers elsewhere. The chance of thunderstorms in the southern and central parts, mostly in the afternoon. Snow on the Alps above 1600 metres. Cold west to southwesterly winds extending throughout.Sunday 15 JunePartly cloudy in the far west and on the north coast and ranges. Rain areas over the southeast with snow above about 1500 metres. Isolated showers elsewhere. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong along the coast and ranges.Monday 16 JuneIsolated showers on western slopes of the southern and central ranges with snow above about 1500 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong along parts of the coast at first, tending northwesterly in southern inland districts later.Tuesday 17 JuneIsolated showers on western slopes of the southern and central ranges . The chance of showers along on the southern half of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
