Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 11/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move into the far west coast Wednesday evening associated with a low deepening west of Port Lincoln during Thursday and moving northeastwards over Spencer Gulf on Friday morning. The low will then weaken and move eastwards on Friday afternoon and evening. A new high will develop over the south of Western Australia on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPossible isolated showers west of about Coober Pedy to Cleve, increasing to scattered showers about the coast west of Fowlers Bay. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh about southern coasts, shifting fresh to strong south to southwest about the far west coast during the late afternoon and evening.Thursday 12 JuneIsolated showers southwest of about Tarcoola to Keith, increasing to scattered showers southwest of about Wudinna to Gawler to Salt Creek and possible isolated thunderstorms about the west coast. Possible isolated showers elsewhere southwest of about Ernabella to Loxton and patchy rain over the far northeast. A cool day, grading to mild in the northeast. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening about central parts before shifting fresh southwesterly over western districts, strong about the coast.Friday 13 JuneIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the agricultural area, with showers tending scattered over the southern agricultural area. The chance of isolated showers over the Flinders and south of the pastoral districts. Cool to cold with fresh to strong south to southwest winds in the southwest, tending light to moderate southeast to northeast in the southeast and moderate to fresh northwest to southwest in the north.Saturday 14 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, tending scattered near southern coasts. Cool with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds, strong at first about southern coasts.Sunday 15 JuneIsolated showers over the west coast, the southern agricultural area and about northern Spencer Gulf coasts. Cool with light to moderate west to southwest winds, tending southerly in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday evening to midnight Sunday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the agricultural area, but only 2 to 5 mm in the far east and about the south and far northeast of the pastorals. 15 to to 30 mm about western and south central coasts, with local falls of 30 to 50 mm about the Lower Eyre Peninsula coast and west coast of Kangaroo Island. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Monday until WednesdayPossible isolated showers southwest of Tarcoola to Renmark, more likely about southern coastal districts, before contracting southwards and becoming fine throughout on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
