Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge extending from the Tasman sea over South Australia will move slowly eastwards over the next few days. A cold front will move into the far west of South Australia on Wednesday and slowly over remainder of the State on Thursday and Friday, with a low pressure system also developing over the south of the State on Thursday. A new high will develop later in the week over southern Western Australia following the front.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Cool to cold. Light northeasterly winds.Wednesday 11 JunePossible early morning frost over the northern agricultural area and Flinders and south of the North East Pastoral all to the east of the ranges. Possible isolated showers developing during the afternoon or evening west of about Coober Pedy to Port Lincoln. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh in parts in the morning, shifting northwest to southwesterly in the far west during the late afternoon or evening.Thursday 12 JuneIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area, with the chance of isolated showers over the remainder. Showers increasing to scattered over most of the southern agricultural area and near western coasts. The chance of isolated thunderstorms near southern and western coasts to the west of about Cape Jervis. A cool day grading to mild in the northeast. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting southwest to southerly over western districts and becoming moderate to fresh.Friday 13 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area, with the chance of isolated showers over the Flinders and south of the Pastoral districts. Showers increasing to scattered over the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated thunderstorms over parts of the agricultural area until evening. Cool to cold with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 14 June
Isolated showers over the agricultural area, scattered near southern coasts. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area, 1 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area and less than 1 mm over the remainder. Falls of 15 to 30 mm are possible near southern and western coasts.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting southwards to be confined to southern coasts by Tuesday. Generally cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, becoming light on Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
