Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge extending from the Tasman sea over SA will move slowly eastwards over the next few days ahead of a cold front which will move into the west of the SA on Wednesday and over remainder of the State on Thursday. A new high will develop over southern WA following the front.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayA cold morning with areas of frost east of the ranges. Possible early fog patches in the Lower South East. A fine day throughout. Cool to mild. Light to moderate northeasterly winds.Wednesday 11 JunePossible early morning frost over the northern agricultural area and Flinders and south of the North East Pastoral all to the east of the ranges. Possible isolated showers developing during the afternoon or evening west of about Coober Pedy to Kingscote to Mount Gambier. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting southwesterly in the far west during the evening.Thursday 12 JuneIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area, with the chance of isolated showers over the remainder apart from the far northeast. Showers increasing to scattered over the southern agricultural area with the chance of isolated thunderstorms near southern coasts and in the Lower South East. A cool day grading to mild in the northeast. Light to moderate northerly winds in the east, shifting southwest to southerly throughout during the morning and becoming moderate to fresh.Friday 13 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, clearing over eastern districts away from the coast by midday. Cool with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area, 1 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area and less than 1 mm over the remainder.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Monday. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds, turning southeast to northeasterly on Sunday and Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
