Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough off New South Wales coast will weaken tonight and during Tuesday as a strong high pressure system southeast of Tasmania moves slowly southeast extending a ridge to the north coast and across the western Tasman Sea. This ridge will weaken during Thursday and Friday allowing a cold front to move through the state. In the wake of the front another high pressure system is expected to move over southeastern Australia on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers south and central coasts tending isolated on the adjacent ranges and isolated showers near the northern coast. Mostly clear west of Divide. East to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 10 JuneIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges tending scattered near the coastal fringe, clearing from the south. Mostly clear inland. East to southeast winds, tending northeasterly in the west.Wednesday 11 JuneIsolated clearing showers along the coastal fringe in the north. Mostly clear elsewhere.. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 12 JuneRain developing in the southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northerly winds ahead of a late south to southwesterly change in the far southwest.Friday 13 JunePartly cloudy in the northeast with isolated showers on the far north coast. Rain areas elsewhere. Snow on the Alps. Winds turning cold south to southwesterly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
