Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure extends just off the New South Wales coast, with associated upper level low over the southern inland of New South Wales. A low is forming in the trough off the far south coast, and is expected to move into eastern Bass Strait tonight, before moving east again and weakening on Tuesday. As it moves away to the southeast on Wednesday another high is expected to move over southeastern Australia.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers with isolated thunderstorms over the southeast and northeast of the state. Partly cloudy inland, and mostly clear along central parts of the coast. Northwest to southwesterly winds inland. Northeast to northwesterly winds on the coast.Tuesday 3 JuneIsolated showers in the southeast, more scattered over the southern ranges. Snow showers on the higher Alps. Some early drizzle along the southwest slopes. Isolated showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the far northeast. Dry and partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog patches. Northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh in the southeast.Wednesday 4 JuneIsolated morning showers over the southwest slopes and southern Alps. Isolated showers developing over the far northeast, more scattered along the coastal fringe. Dry and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast and generally light winds.Thursday 5 JuneIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, and the chance of showers inland near the Victorian border. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 JuneIsolated showers along the coast, with the chance of showers extending to the adjacent ranges.
