MELBOURNE - Jun 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the west of South Australia will move slowly eastwards over the next couple of days with another high developing over the Bight later in the week. A weak front will move over southern coasts early on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and the coastal parts of the Flinders district. Mainly light winds.Tuesday 3 JuneEarly morning fog over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Morning drizzle about the southern agricultural area becoming isolated light showers during the morning then clearing during the afternoon. Possible isolated late evening showers over western Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. Generally cool with mainly light winds.Wednesday 4 JuneEarly morning fog over the agricultural area north of about Keith. Isolated showers extending over the agricultural area south of about Elliston to Lameroo, scattered at times with the passage of a trough. Cool to mild with mainly light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 5 JuneEarly morning fog over the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area to the south of about Adelaide, mainly during the morning. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds tending easterly in the west.Friday 6 JuneFine apart from possible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges, with less than 1 mm over the south of the Pastoral districts.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area on Saturday contracting south and easing by late evening then clearing during Sunday. Fine otherwise.
