Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is located in the Tasman Sea and will drift east of New Zealand midweek. A broad, low pressure complex lies over inland Victoria and New South Wales will develop into a low pressure system over eastern Bass Strait on Monday. The low will move east of Tasmania during Tuesday as a cold front crosses waters south of the Bight. This front will move through southern Victoria on Wednesday, with a high pressure system moving into western Victoria late on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayAreas of morning fog. Isolated showers, mainly near the coast at first and developing inland during the afternoon. Showers increasing to rain areas in the far east during the afternoon and evening with isolated thunderstorms possible. A cool day with light west to southwesterly winds tending east to southeasterly along parts of the coast.Tuesday 3 JuneMorning fog patches. Scattered showers in the east, only isolated in remaining districts. A cool day with generally light and variable winds, tending westerly near the coastal fringe.Wednesday 4 JuneEarly fog patches. Scattered showers extending across most districts from the west. Cool to mild day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 5 JuneIsolated showers in southern and mountain districts, tending scattered in the southeast , and contracting eastwards during the day.
