MELBOURNE - Jun 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system over Victoria will move slowly southeastwards over the next couple of days to be east of Tasmania by late Tuesday. A high over the west of South Australia will move slowly eastwards during the week. A weak front will move over southern coasts early on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers to the south and east of about Port Lincoln to Port Augusta to Broken Hill, increasing to scattered showers until evening over parts of the Mid North, southern Flinders, Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Scattered showers possibly extending over the coast of the Eastern Eyre Peninsula and southern Fleurieu Peninsula for a period in the morning. Areas of early morning fog south of about Coober Pedy. Generally cool with mainly light winds.Tuesday 3 JuneEarly morning areas of fog over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Possible isolated showers over the agricultural area. Generally cool with mainly light winds.Wednesday 4 JuneEarly morning fog over the agricultural area. Isolated showers south of about Elliston to Lameroo, otherwise fine. Cool to mild with mainly light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 5 June Early morning fog over the agricultural area. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area to the south of about Adelaide. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds tending easterly in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges, with less than 1 mm over the south of the Pastoral districts. Friday until SundayFine apart from possible isolated showers near southern coasts.
