MELBOURNE - May 31/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is slowly moving east maintaining a ridge along New South Wales coast and a low pressure trough over the state"s west is deepening and also very moving slowly east. This trough will weaken over the northeast of the state during Monday high strengthen over southeastern Australia. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges and in the northeastern inland. Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere, easing in the far west. East to northeasterly winds, freshening on the southern coast. West to northwesterly winds elsewhere.Sunday 1 JuneClearing showers in the far west and isolated showers on the far north coast. Rain areas and possible thunderstorms elsewhere contracting east. North to northeasterly winds in the northeast, and northwest to southwesterly winds extending across the remainder.Monday 2 JuneIsolated showers in the eastern half tending scattered on on the western slopes on the northern ranges and in the far southern inland. Snow showers on the higher Alps. Partly cloudy in the west. Morning fog patches. Northwest to southwesterly windsTuesday 3 JuneIsolated showers in the southeast, mainly on western slopes of the tablelands, possibly falling as snow about the Alpine peaks and isolated showers on the far north coast.
