MELBOURNE - May 30/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low 1014 hPa near the west coast of Eyre Peninsula will move slowly eastwards towards the eastern border today. A weak high will move over the north of the State early next week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPatchy rain over eastern parts of the State, increasing to areas of rain at times on and east of the ranges between about Leigh Creek and Keith, contracting to the eastern border during the day. Isolated showers over the agricultural areas and south of the Pastoral districts, scattered at times about western and gulf coasts, easing during the day. The chance of isolated thunderstorms over the agricultural area north of about Lameroo, the Flinders District and the Northeast Pastoral district south of Marree. Isolated early morning fog patches. Cool to mild with light to moderate east to northeast winds in the east turning northwest to westerly in the west then shifting southwesterly in the west during the day.Sunday 1 JunePossible isolated showers over the West Coast and agricultural areas, more likely east of the ranges, contracting to southern coasts by evening. Areas of morning fog. Cool to mild with light to moderate southerly winds.Monday 2 JuneFine apart from early morning fog patches over the West Coast district and Eyre Peninsula and possible isolated showers south of about Adelaide. Generally mild with light and variable winds.Tuesday 3 JuneFine apart from isolated showers developing south of Port Lincoln to Naracoorte during the day. Cool to mild with mainly light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm generally east of about Leigh Creek to Elliston, increasing to 10 to 20 mm about the eastern border of the Northwest Pastoral, parts of the Yorke Peninsula, the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North and Murraylands. Less than 2 mm over the remainder.Wednesday until FridayFine apart from possible isolated showers south of Elliston to Keith.
