Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 28/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak ridge of high pressure will extend over Victoria this morning and will move just to the southeast of Victoria on Friday as a low pressure system develops in the Bight. The low will move eastwards across southeastern Australia during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayMorning fog patches. Isolated showers over the southeast mostly clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers near the central coast during the morning. Dry elsewhere. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day with light winds tending light northerly in the west.Friday 30 MayMorning fog patches then a fine, partly cloudy day. Patchy rain entering the far northwest towards midnight. Generally mild with light east to northeasterly winds.Saturday 31 MayRain areas and isolated thunderstorms gradually extending from the northwest across remaining northern districts. Only patchy rain reaching southern Victoria and mostly dry over Gippsland after early fog patches. A cool and mostly cloudy day with light to moderate northeasterly winds.Sunday 1 JunePatchy rain contracting to the south and east. Cool with generally light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
