MELBOURNE - May 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A northwest to southwesterly airstream is expected on Wednesday ahead of a low which will develop over the Bight on Thursday and then move slowly east to be centred over the eastern states on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, with the chance of isolated showers over the northern agricultural area. Showers scattered in the Lower South East and about the Mount Lofty Ranges till early afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh at times in the south.Thursday 29 MayEarly fog patches in the southeast. Isolated showers southwest of about Tarcoola to Kingscote. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds.Friday 30 MayIsolated showers south of about Coober Pedy, increasing to scattered showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms in the west. Mild to warm with moderate northeast to northerly winds, turning fresh westerly in the far west.Saturday 31 May Isolated showers south of about Tarcoola to Woomera to Marree, tending to scattered showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms about central and eastern parts except for the South East district. Cool to mild with light and variable winds, turning moderate to fresh southwest north of a line Ceduna to Marree. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area, with less than 2 mm over the remainder.
