MELBOURNE - May 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system crossing south of the Bight has an associated cold front that will cross Victoria during Tuesday. Another low pressure system will develop over the Bight on Wednesday but will remain to the west of Adelaide on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers over the southwest this morning with the chance of a morning thunderstorm near the far western coast. Areas of early fog elsewhere clearing to a dry day. Isolated showers redeveloping over the far west in the evening and tending to areas of rain at night. A mild day with light to moderate northerly winds freshening about the ranges and parts of the west.Tuesday 27 MayA band of rain crossing the State with scattered showers to follow. Isolated thunderstorms. Mild with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong to gale force about elevated areas and tending northwesterly during the day.Wednesday 28 MayEarly rain in the east. Isolated showers otherwise, contracting to the ranges and the southwest during the evening. Snow falls possible above 1700 metres. A cool to mild day with mainly moderate northwesterly winds.Thursday 29 MayIsolated showers, mainly over the southwest and ranges.
