Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge over New South Wales is weakening and a cold front will move move across the southeast tonight before weakening over the northeast on Saturday. Behind the front another the high pressure ridge will redevelop over the state on Sunday. Another cold front is expected to move through the state during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers in the south, more likely on the western slopes of the ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to northwest winds. A southerly change on the far south coast this evening.Saturday 24 MayIsolated early showers over the ranges and western slopes in the south and a few clearing showers on the far north coast. Isolated afternoon showers over the Riverina district, and along southern coastal districts. Areas of morning fog. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds inland, with southerly winds extending along the coast.Sunday 25 MayMorning fogs in the east. Scattered showers on the southwest slopes of the ranges, decreasing during the afternoon. partly cloudy elsewhere. Variable winds tending northerly in the south.Monday 26 MayMorning fogs in the east. The chance of a late shower or two in the far southwest near the South Australian border. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northerly winds, freshening in the south.Tuesday 27 MayMorning fogs in the northeast. Rain extending across the south and west of the state during the day, reaching the coast south of about Sydney at night. Fine in the northeast. Light winds in the north.
