Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1025 hPa over New South Wales will move slowly eastwards. A middle level trough and associated cloud band will move eastwards over the west of the State today and over central and southeastern parts on Thursday. A weak front will move over the southeast of the State late Thursday and early Friday. A stronger front will move over the State on Monday and Tuesday next week.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers about the western border, extending to west of Coober Pedy to Cape Borda by evening and increasing to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms west of Ernabella to Ceduna. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds.Thursday 22 MayIsolated showers extending from the west during the day, increasing to scattered showers over the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, southern coasts and the southeast. Isolated thunderstorms west of a line Woomera to Renmark, clearing from the far west. Fine over the Flinders and southeastern parts of the North East Pastoral district. Mild to warm with moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresh at times in the east, easing to light and variable in the evening.Friday 23 MayMorning fog patches over the west. Isolated showers south and east of about Woomera, contracting further southeast during the day. Mild to warm with light to moderate north to northwest winds.Saturday 24 MayPossible isolated showers over Riverland, Mid North and Lower South East, clearing during the day. Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds, shifting westerly in the far west during the day.Sunday 25 MayFine and warm to hot during the day with isolated showers extending from the west during the afternoon, to reach a line from Coober Pedy to Mount Gambier by evening. Moderate to northerly winds, shifting westerly in the far west during the afternoon. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm in the North East Pastoral and Flinders districts, increasing to 2 to 10 mm over the remainder with possible falls of 10 to 15 mm in the Lower South East and the far northwest.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers extending from the west during Monday, then contracting south and east during Tuesday. Possible isolated showers about western and southern coasts on Wednesday. Mild in the south, warm in the north, becoming cool to mild throughout on Tuesday and Wednesday.
