Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system is over the Tasman Sea. A cold front will reach southwestern Victoria on Tuesday morning, then cross the State reaching the northeast at night. A weak high pressure system will quickly cross Victoria on Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday, whilst another cold front approaches southwest Victoria later in the day. Another weak ridge of High pressure will reach western Victoria later Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPartly cloudy with isolated showers in the west, reaching eastern districts tonight. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 20 MayIsolated showers, becoming scattered in the southwest during the morning. Showers extending to remaining southern and mountain districts during the day, then becoming isolated in the west during the afternoon. Mainly fine in the northwest. Mild to warm at first with light to moderate northwesterly winds shifting milder west to southwesterly from the west.Wednesday 21 MayIsolated showers clearing from the northeast and near the coast during the early morning. Otherwise fine apart from morning fog patches. Mild and partly cloudy with light winds tending northerly in the west.Thursday 22 MayMorning fog patches in the east. Scattered showers developing over southern and mountain districts tending isolated over the northern plains and East Gippsland. Remaining dry over the far north. A mild and partly cloudy day with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds shifting west to southwesterly.Friday 23 MayScattered showers mainly over southern and mountain districts contracting to the east during the day. Isolated showers clearing later in the west and mainly fine in the Mallee. Mild to warm and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds easing in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
