Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A near stationary high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge across NSW. A weak cool change will move across the south of the state during Tuesday and early on Wednesday, before the ridge becomes reestablished over the entire state for the remainder of the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMostly dry across the state, apart from isolated showers developing along the Victorian border. North to northwest winds, tending northeasterly along parts of the coastal fringe.Tuesday 20 MayIsolated showers in the south, tending scattered about the southern Alps. Dry and warm in the north, with just the chance of an afternoon shower near the coast in the far north. West to northwest winds turning southwest in the south later.Wednesday 21 MayIsolated showers over the southeast and along central parts of the coastal fringe. Isolated showers also in the far northeast. Fine elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds in the west, with south to southwest winds extending along the coast.Thursday 22 MayIsolated showers along the north coast and over the southern Alps. Fine elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds.Friday 23 MayIsolated showers in the northeast, and also along the southern border. Fine elsewhere.
