MELBOURNE - May 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the Tasman Sea will move slowly east during this week. A weak front will move over the southeast of the State on Tuesday, followed by another high which will move steadily east to be centred over the Tasman Sea later Wednesday. A cold front is forecast to reach the western border late Friday evening. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine northeast of a line Ernabella to Yunta. Isolated showers extending from the west over the remainder. Possible isolated thunderstorms in the far west and over Kangaroo Island, chiefly in the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, fresh at times on the ranges and about adjacent eastern slopes.Tuesday 20 MayFine northeast of a line Ernabella to Broken Hill. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the remainder. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light winds, shifting light to moderate southwest to southeasterly over the agricultural area and west coast.Wednesday 21 MayIsolated showers west of Marla to Streaky Bay. Possible isolated afternoon showers on the Mount Lofty Ranges. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Thursday 22 MayIsolated showers west of a line Oodnadatta to Woomera to Keith. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.
