Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across New South Wales. This high will remain semi-stationary over the next few days and as a result, cold fronts crossing the Southern Ocean during this time are expected to have little or no effect on on state's weather as they slip away to the southeast past Tasmania. On Tuesday the high is expected to make way for a stronger cold front to affect the south of the state, before moving through the northeast on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from isolated showers about the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere after areas of morning fog in the east. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Monday 19 MayIsolated showers on the far north coast. Fine elsewhere apart from late patchy rain about the Victorian border. Northwest to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 20 MayIsolated showers on the far north coast clearing early. Scattered showers in the south. Northwest to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 21 MayScattered showers over the central inland, clearing. Scattered showers along the coast and ranges, mainly north from the Illawarra.
