Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system will remain almost stationary over the Tasman Sea until early next week and will continue direct a mild north to northwesterly airstream over Victoria. A weakening cold front will move across Tasmania today. Another front is expected to cross southern Victoria on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly fog patches in the northeast. Scattered showers developing over the southwest and isolated showers near the central and south Gippsland coasts, otherwise fine. Another mild and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.Sunday 18 MayFine apart from isolated showers mainly over the southwest. A mild and partly cloudy day with a light to moderate north to northwesterly wind.Monday 19 MayIsolated showers extending to most districts, apart from East Gippsland, and becoming scattered in the southwest. A mild and partly cloudy day with a light to moderate north to northwesterly wind.Tuesday 20 MayIsolated showers, mainly in southern and mountain districts, contracting eastwards later. Mild at first with light winds, but cooler southerly winds extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
