MELBOURNE - May 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong,high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across New South Wales. This high will remain semi-stationary over the next few days and as a result, cold fronts crossing the Southern Ocean during this time are expected to have little or no effect on on state's weather as they slip away to the southeast past Tasmania. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent slopes tending scattered on the coastal fringe in the far north. Morning fog and frost patches, mainly on the tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds in the northeast of the state, northeast to northwesterly winds elsewhere.Saturday 17 MayIsolated showers on the far north coast and adjacent slopes. Morning fog and frost patches mainly on the tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
