Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system will remain almost stationary over the Tasman Sea until early next week, directing a mild north to northwesterly airstream over Victoria. A weakening cold front will slip southeastwards across Tasmania on Thursday night, with another weakening front expected to move across Tasmania on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine after local early fog in the east. A mostly sunny day with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresh over the southwest, central and elevated areas.Friday 16 MayFine apart from isolated showers possible over the southwest. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresher over elevate areas.Saturday 17 MayIsolated showers in the southwest, otherwise fine. Mild and partly cloudy with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds.Sunday 18 MayFine apart from isolated showers over the southwest.
