Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system will remain almost stationary over the Tasman Sea during the week and over the weekend, extending a ridge across Victoria. A weakening cold front will slip southeastwards across Tasmania on Thursday night, with another weakening front expected to move across Tasmania on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine after morning fog patches in the north and east. A mild and mainly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds.Thursday 15 MayFine and mild throughout, cloud increasing from the west during the day. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresh at times over mountain and some southern areas.Friday 16 MayIsolated showers developing about the southwest coast and adjacent inland. Fine,mild and partly cloudy for the remainder. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresher over elevate areas.Saturday 17 MayIsolated coastal showers in the southwest during the morning. Fine, mild and partly cloudy for the remainder. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
