Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across central New South Wales. This high is expected to remain very slow moving until at least early next week. Cold fronts crossing the Southern Ocean over the coming days will have little or no effect on New South Wales as they slip away to the southeast past Tasmania. A southeasterly airstream should persist on the north coast, and milder northeast to northwest winds across most of the remainder.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers on the far north coast. Areas of morning fog over the ranges, slopes and much of the coast, then a mostly sunny day. Cool to mild day. East to southeasterly winds in the northeast of the state, northeast to northwest winds in the west and southeast.Thursday 15 MayIsolated showers on the far north coast, becoming scattered along the coastal fringe during the afternoon. Areas of morning fog, then mostly sunny. Early frost on the ranges. Mild day. East to southeasterly winds in the northeast of the state, northeast to northwest winds in the west and southeast.Friday 16 MayIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent slopes. Some morning fog and frost on the ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Mild day. East to southeasterly winds in the northeast of the state, light winds elsewhere.Saturday 17 MayIsolated showers on the far north coast and adjacent slopes. Some morning fog and frost on the ranges.
