MELBOURNE - May 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will gradually track eastwards during the week, extending a ridge across Victoria. A weakening cold front will slip southeastwards across Tasmania on Thursday night, with the ridge strengthening again over southeast Australia during Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine, partly cloudy in southern and eastern areas. Light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 14 MayFine after morning fog patches in the north and east. A mild and mainly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds.Thursday 15 MayFine and mild throughout, cloud increasing from the west during the day. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, tending fresher over mountain and some southern areas.Friday 16 MayIsolated showers developing about the southwest coast and adjacent inland. Fine and mild, partly cloudy for the remainder. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, fresher over elevate areas.Saturday 17 MayIsolated coastal showers in the southwest during the morning. Fine and mild, partly cloudy for the remainder.
