Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will gradually track eastwards during the week, extending a ridge across Victoria. A weakening cold front will slip southeastwards across Tasmania on Thursday night, while on Friday the ridge will strengthen again over southeast Australia.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayAreas of morning fog, mainly in the north and east, then a fine and mild day. Partly cloudy in the north during the day, mainly sunny for the remainder. Light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 14 MayFine after morning fog patches in the east. A mild and mainly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds.Thursday 15 MayMorning fog patches in the southeast. Fine and mild throughout. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresher in some southern areas.Friday 16 MayFine and mild in the north and east. Isolated showers developing south of the Divide in western and central areas.
