MELBOURNE - May 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system located over Victoria will move eastwards and reach eastern Bass Strait tonight. The high will then slowly track eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday, extending a ridge across northern Victoria. A weakening front will cross southern Victoria during Thursday, while on Friday the ridge will strengthen again over southeast Australia. Forecast for the rest of MondayFog patches redeveloping overnight, otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Generally light winds.Tuesday 13 MayMorning fog patches, mainly in the north and east, then a fine and mild day. Partly cloudy in the north during the day, mainly sunny for the remainder. Light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 14 MayFine after morning fog patches in the east. A mild and mainly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds.Thursday 15 MayMorning fog patches in the southeast. Fine and mild throughout. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresher in some southern areas.Friday 16 MayFine and mild in the north and east. Isolated showers developing south of the Divide in western and central areas.
