MELBOURNE - May 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weakening cold front over South Australia will move across Victoria today. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Sunday before strengthening and moving over Victoria on Monday. The high will reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayCloudy. Areas of rain contracting to the east during the afternoon with isolated showers to follow over southern areas. Cool to mild with moderate north to northwesterly winds gradually shifting westerly during the afternoon and evening and easing.Sunday 11 MayMorning fog patches inland. Rain areas in the far east clearing during the early morning. Isolated showers over southern districts, mainly near the coast, clearing by late afternoon. A mild day with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Monday 12 MayFine and mostly sunny apart from isolated morning showers over East Gippsland. A mild day with light winds.Tuesday 13 MayFine after morning fog patches.
