Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high is centred near Tasmania and a deep low is in the Tasman near New Zealand. The high is expected to move northeast and become established over the Tasman Sea on Friday. A cold front is expected to affect the west and south of the state on Saturday and the remainder on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers on the coast north from the Illawarra, mostly along the coastal fringe. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeast winds inland, southerly along the coast.Friday 9 MayIsolated light showers along the north and central coastal fringe, clearing from the south. Early frost and fog patches along the ranges, with fog patches in some coastal areas. Fine and partly cloudy in the remainder.East to northeast winds, tending fresh northerly over the western inland.Saturday 10 MayIsolated showers in the south and west of the state, with some areas of rain along the south and central west slopes and plains. Fine, but with increasing cloud elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds turning southwesterly in the far southwest later.Sunday 11 MayShowers across the eastern half of the state. Dry and mostly sunny in the west. West to northwest winds over the northeast of the state, southerly winds inland and extending along the coast during the day.Monday 12 MayShowers along the coast and adjacent ranges, apart from the far south. Morning fog patches then dry and mostly sunny in the west. South to southeast winds along the coast, east to southeast winds inland.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Friday.Product IDN10031
