Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough associated with a deep low pressure system moves over the far northeast of the state today followed by a slow moving high pressure ridge extending from south of the Bight. The high pressure system will move over the Tasman Sea into Friday ahead of the next cold front expected to cross the state this weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated coastal showers on the north and central coasts possibly extending to the eastern parts of the northern ranges. Isolated showers in the far southeast this morning. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost and fog about the slopes and ranges. South to southeast winds.Thursday 8 MayIsolated showers on the north and central coasts. Mostly sunny in the remainder. Early frost about the slopes and ranges. East to southeast winds.Friday 9 MayIsolated showers on the north and central coasts clearing from the south. Partly cloudy in the remainder. East to northeast winds, tending fresh northerly over the western inland.Saturday 10 MayIsolated showers in the southwestern half and on the north and central coasts. Partly cloudy in the remainder. North to northwesterly winds turning southwesterly in the far southwest later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDN10031
