Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak cold front brushes the far southern parts of the state today bringing a southerly wind change across most of the state. A slow moving high pressure ridge will dominate for the rest of the week moving over the Tasman Sea into the weekend as the next cold front approaches from the west.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the south, mostly about the southern slopes. Showers developing later in the day on the coastal fringe from the Illawarra to the southern parts of the Mid North coast. Fine elsewhere. Morning fog and frost patches about the ranges and slopes. South to southeast winds.Wednesday 7 MayShowers near the coast north from the Illawarra, mainly right along the coastal fringe, extending inland to the adjacent ranges in the north. Fine elsewhere. South to southeast winds.Thursday 8 MayShowers near the coast, extending inland north of Sydney to the adjacent ranges. Fine remainder. Areas of morning frost about the ranges and upper slopes. East to southeast winds.Friday 9 MayShowers near the coast, extending inland to the adjacent ranges north of Illawarra. Fine remainder. East to northeast winds, tending fresh northerly over the western inland.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
