Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of the State extends a ridge of high pressure across Adelaide and into New South Wales. The high will move slowly eastwards reaching the Tasman Sea by Friday. A front will move over western parts of the State on Thursday then extend over central parts on Friday, reaching the southeast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible morning fog patches mainly over the northern agricultural and southern pastoral districts. The chance of isolated showers south of about Woomera, but dry over the southern agricultural area east of Yorke Peninsula apart from the Lower South East coast. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, turning northeasterly in the west.Wednesday 7 MayMorning fog patches about Eyre Peninsula and the southeast. The chance of isolated showers over the south of the Lower South East district until mid afternoon. Generally cool. Mild in the far north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 8 MayIsolated showers developing west of about Tarcoola, increasing to scattered showers west of about Fowlers Bay. Cool to mild tending to warm in the far northwest with moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh at times in the west.Friday 9 MayIsolated showers extending across the State, tending to scattered showers northwest of Coober Pedy in the morning and over the agricultural area west of about Keith. Mild with moderate northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change extending over western districts during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday to midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm west of about Lameroo to Oodnadatta increasing to 10 to 15 mm west of about Ceduna with possible isolated falls up to 20 mm. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.Saturday until MondayFine over the Northwest Pastoral district west of Woomera, isolated showers elsewhere tending to scattered south of about Clare during Saturday morning and early afternoon. Showers contracting to the agricultural and West Coast districts on Sunday then clearing during the day. Fine on Monday. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout early in the period then turning northeasterly in the west during Monday.
