Weather Situation A ridge of high pressure over central Australia is pushing dry, cool air across much of Queensland. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine, cool and clear across the state except for the chance of some sleet or snow about the Southern Border Ranges. Moderate west to southwest winds across much of the state.Sunday 4 MayA ridge of high pressure over Central Australia will continue pushing cool, dry air and fine conditions across much of Queensland. Areas of morning frost about the southern and southeast interior. The chance of some light showers about the Southern Border Ranges and the east coast of Cape York Peninsula. Moderate to fresh southeast to southwest winds.Monday 5 MayCool, fine and dry across most of the state with areas of morning frost through the southern and southeast interior. An onshore flow may produce some isolated showers over Cape York Peninsula.Tuesday 6 MayA high over the Southern Ocean will maintain cool, fine and dry conditions across most of Queensland. Areas of morning frost about the southern and southeast interior. An onshore flow may produce some isolated showers over Cape York Peninsula.Wednesday 7 MayThe high should move across Tasmania and push some isolated showers onto Queensland's east coast. Possible early frost over the southeast interior.Thursday until SaturdayThe high should drift gradually eastwards across the Tasman Sea, and will push some showers across Queensland's eastern districts.
