Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the Tasman Sea will intensify before moving slowly eastwards. A high southwest of Perth extends a ridge of high pressure over the north of the State. A weak front will move over the south of the State on Monday, followed by the high which will strengthen and be centred south of the State on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and North West Pastoral district, contracting to southern coasts in the east this evening. Moderate southwesterly winds.Sunday 4 MayPossible early morning frost on and east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Possible morning fog patches about Eyre Peninsula and the Pastoral districts. Isolated showers near and west of a line from Ceduna to Oodnadatta, mainly during the afternoon. Isolated showers developing about the west coasts of Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island and the south of the Lower South East district during the evening. Cool with mainly light winds, turning light to moderate northwesterly about coastal districts in the evening.Monday 5 MayPossible morning fog patches in the far west. Isolated showers developing over the agricultural area, increasing to scattered in the south for a period. Cool to mild with chiefly light winds, tending light to moderate northwest to southwesterly about southern coastal districts.Tuesday 6 MayPossible morning fog patches mainly about Eyre Peninsula and east of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The chance of isolated showers south of about Tarcoola to Leigh Creek, but dry over the southern agricultural area apart from isolated showers about the southern coasts of Kangaroo Island and the Fleurieu Peninsula during the morning. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, turning northeasterly in the west.Wednesday 7 MayThe chance of isolated showers about the West Coast and North West Pastoral districts. Generally cool. Mild in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 3 mm, locally reaching 5 mm in the far west.Thursday until SaturdayThe chance of isolated showers in the far west extending to southern coastal districts by Saturday. Cool to mild with mainly light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
