Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Tasmania slowly moves over the Tasman Sea extending a ridge over northeast New South Wales. This high pressure system will weaken and move northwards as a cold front moves through the state on Tuesday and Wednesday. The next front is expected to cross the state on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the northeast, tending scattered in the far northeast this morning. The chance of thunderstorms in the far northeast this morning. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, turning northerly in the south.Tuesday 29 AprilPartly cloudy in the northeast with isolated showers on the far north coast. Rain areas extending from the west through remainder. Northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a gusty west to southwesterly change in the southwest.Wednesday 30 AprilPartly cloudy in the far southwest. Rain areas elsewhere contracting to the northeast and clearing. Southwest to southeast winds extending throughout.Thursday 1 MayIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds tending variable inland.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDN10031
