Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will pass just to the south of Victoria on Sunday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Monday. A strong cold front is expected to cross Victoria on Tuesday. The next high pressure ridge will extend across northern Victoria on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly morning fog and frost patches inland and isolated early morning showers in the far east, clearing to a fine, cool to mild and mainly sunny day. Generally light southerly winds gradually tending easterly during the day.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Monday 28 AprilFine over most areas. Morning fog patches, mainly in the east. Cloud increasing from the west with isolated showers possible later in the west. A mild day with moderate to fresh northerly winds.Tuesday 29 AprilAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms developing over western districts during the early morning, extending to the east by early afternoon. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, locally reaching gale force over the eastern ranges ahead of a west to southwesterly change extending through western and central districts by early afternoon and the east by evening. Rain clearing in the north and tending to scattered showers in the south following the change.Wednesday 30 AprilIsolated showers in southern and mountain districts, contracting to the coast and clearing later. Possible showers in the northwest. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong at first in the east.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
