Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1026 hPa south of Mount Gambier will move east across Bass Strait today. A front will move over western parts of the State on Monday then remaining parts on Tuesday. Another front will move over the south on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayCool to cold early with frost patches in the South East. Possible isolated showers developing over the far west during the afternoon. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh in the far west.Monday 28 AprilPossible isolated showers developing about western and southern coasts in the late afternoon or evening, increasing to patchy rain with possible thunder about the West Coast and western parts of Eyre Peninsula. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong at times over western and central districts during the day, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change in the west during the late afternoon and evening.Tuesday 29 AprilA band of rain with possible thunder extending over most parts of the State during the morning, becoming patchy and contracting to the northeast during the afternoon. Isolated showers continuing about southern and western coastal districts. Hot in the northeast with light to moderate northerly winds, ahead of a cooler fresh southwest to southerly change extending throughout, strong about southern coasts.Wednesday 30 AprilPatchy rain in the far north clearing early morning. Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and west coast, clearing by evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 10 to 15 mm southwest of a line Renmark to Woomera, increasing to 15 to 25 mm about southern agricultural area. Less than 2 mm in the far northeast and 2 to 10 mm over the remainder.Thursday until SaturdayPossible isolated showers developing about southern and western coasts. Isolated showers over the agricultural area on Friday and Saturday, increasing to scattered showers over the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated showers over remaining northern parts. Cool to mild throughout with light to moderate northwesterly winds turning fresh southwesterly on Friday and Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
