MELBOURNE - Apr 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front is moving across southeastern New South Wales and it will reach the northeast on Saturday morning and weaken as a high pressure system moves towards Tasmania strengthening a ridge behind the front. The high will move over the southern Tasman Sea later on Sunday and then it will continue moving east maintaining the ridge to the north coast. The next cold front is expected to move through the state during Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayA little patchy rain in the northwest and the chance of showers on the Alps. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, tuning southerly in the west and southeast.Sunday 27 AprilIsolated showers coast and eastern ranges, tending scattered along the coastal fringe in the north with the chance of thunderstorms. Light patchy rain clearing in the northern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast.Monday 28 AprilIsolated showers in the northeast, tending scattered along the coast at first. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, turning northerly in the west.Tuesday 29 AprilPartly cloudy in the northeast with isolated coastal shower. Rain areas extending from the west through remainder. Northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a gusty west to southwesterly change in the southwest.Wednesday 30 AprilPartly cloudy in the far southwest. Rain areas elsewhere contracting to the northeast and clearing.
