Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over southeastern Victoria will move eastwards to reach the Tasman Sea today. A cold front will move rapidly eastwards across the State on Saturday. Another high pressure system will pass just to the south of Victoria on Sunday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Monday as a stronger cold front moves across the Bight towards Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Early frosts, then a cool to mild and mostly sunny day although some patchy high cloud extending over the west during the afternoon. Light northerly winds becoming moderate to fresh over western and central districts during the afternoon and evening.Fire Danger -  High in the Central, Southwest and North Central districts, low to moderate elsewhere.Saturday 26 AprilScattered showers developing on and south of the ranges, isolated showers over the north. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds shifting cooler southwest to southerly.Sunday 27 AprilFine apart from isolated clearing showers in the far east during the morning. A cool to mild and mainly sunny day with generally light easterly winds.Monday 28 AprilFine over most areas, but cloud increasing from the west with isolated showers possible late in the day. Mild with moderate to fresh northerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
