Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the east of the State is moving rapidly eastwards and will reach the Tasman sea on Friday. A weak front is expected to move over the south early Saturday followed by another high moving to the south of the Bight, reaching the Tasman sea later Sunday. A low pressure trough will move into the west of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from possible isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, clearing by evening. Cool to mild with light southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 25 AprilEarly morning fog over Eyre Peninsula and over the Northwest Pastoral south of Roxby Downs. Cool to cold early with frost patches in the South East and Murraylands districts. Cloud increasing from the west during the day, with possible isolated showers developing over areas west of about Cape Jervis to Cleve to Tarcoola in the evening. A mild to warm day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting southwesterly in the far west later.Saturday 26 AprilCloudy at first with possible isolated showers south of about Leigh Creek, moving eastwards during the day and clearing during the evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds in the east, turning light to moderate south to southeasterly from the west during the day.Sunday 27 AprilFine. Cool to cold early with frost patches in the South East and Murraylands districts. High cloud increasing over the west of the State during the afternoon. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh at times in the west.Monday 28 April
Isolated showers developing in the west and south late afternoon or evening. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west, with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change in the west during the evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon to midnight Monday are expected to be less than about 2 mm over areas south of about Leigh Creek.
Tuesday until ThursdayA band of isolated showers, increasing to scattered over the agricultural area, contracting northeastwards to be confined to the Pastoral districts north of about Leigh Creek late evening, then contracting further north to clear the northern border in the evening. Isolated showers developing over the southern agricultural area, Eyre Peninsula and West Coast district on Wednesday, contracting southwards and clearing by later Thursday. Hot in the far northeast on Tuesday, otherwise generally cooler throughout for the period.
