Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weakening cold front will move over southern parts of the State this morning. A new high will quickly follow, moving eastwards over the State and then over the Tasman Sea by Friday night. A second cold front is expected to move across South Australia Saturday morning followed by another, stronger high pressure system.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated morning showers over the southern agricultural area, with possible isolated showers over remaining agricultural areas. Early morning patchy fog, mostly over Eyre Peninsula and the West Coast district. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far north. Light northerly wind sin the west tending to moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds about southern coasts turning south to southeasterly throughout and easing during the morning. Mainly light winds inland.Friday 25 AprilPossible morning fog, mostly over agricultural areas. Early morning frost patches in the southeast. Cloud increasing from the west during the day. Isolated showers developing over the West Coast district, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island during the afternoon, possibly extending to Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and Fleurieu Peninsula in the evening. Mild to warm with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds.Saturday 26 AprilCloudy at first with possible isolated showers over much of the State, moving eastwards during the day and clearing to the east by late evening. Mild to warm. Light north to northwesterly winds turning light to moderate south to southeasterly during the day.Sunday 27 April
Fine. Early morning frost patches on and east of the Mount Lofty Ranges. High cloud increasing over the west of the State during the afternoon. Mild to warm. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 3 mm with isolated falls of 3 to 10 mm possible over the West Coast and Lower Eyre Peninsula districts.
Monday until WednesdayCloud increasing from the west on Monday with a band of showers moving across the State and clearing to the northeast by Wednesday night. Isolated showers persisting over agricultural areas through to the end of the period. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwesterly on Monday and Tuesday.ccThe next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
