Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 23/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies across New South Wales. The trough will move to the northeast during Thursday a weaken as a cold front crosses the Tasman Sea and a high pressure system moves east south of the Bight extending a ridge behind the front. This high will move over the Tasman Sea on Friday and the ridge across the state will weaken. The next front/trough system is expected to move through the state on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe chance of showers in the far southeast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, south to southwesterly in the far south.Thursday 24 AprilIsolated showers about the south coastal and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds in the north, and southerly winds through the remainder.Friday 25 AprilIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered along the central coastal districts. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds tending north to northeast in the far northeast.Saturday 26 AprilThe chance of showers about much of the state.
