MELBOURNE - Apr 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front over the southeast of the State is moving eastwards and is expected to reach the Tasman Sea this afternoon. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight later today before the tail end of a cold front moves over southern coasts later Wednesday and during Thursday morning. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers about the south central and southeastern districts contracting to the far east early this morning and clearing by midday. The slight chance of early morning thunder mainly about the Upper South East district. Possible isolated showers about the Nullarbor this morning. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers about southern coasts and the far south of Eyre Peninsula. Early morning fog patches over the agricultural area and West Coast District. Mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Mainly light winds tending moderate northwest to southwesterly during the day.Thursday 24 AprilPossible isolated showers about the agricultural area, more likely about Kangaroo Island and the southeast districts. Early morning fog patches over the West Coast district. Generally mild. Warm in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds tending easterly in the west.Friday 25 AprilPossible isolated showers developing over the West Coast district and western Eyre Peninsula. Early morning fog patches over the agricultural areas. Mild to warm with mainly light to moderate east to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be less than 3 mm.Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers south of about Coober Pedy but north of Renmark on Saturday extending throughout south of Coober Pedy on Sunday then confined to southwest of about Renmark to Port Augusta on Monday.
