Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1021 hPa over southeastern New South Wales is moving eastwards. A cold front is expected to reach Nullarbor by midday today, a line Robe to Adelaide to Tarcoola this evening and Yunta to Oodnadatta around midday Tuesday. Another high will develop over the Bight later on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East districts extending north to reach about Cummins to Adelaide to Lameroo by late evening. Possible isolated evening showers about the Nullarbor coast. Possible isolated late afternoon or evening thunderstorms southwest of about Port Lincoln to Bordertown. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, strong at times in the south, ahead of a cooler moderate south to southwesterly change reaching a line Robe to Adelaide to Tarcoola late evening.Tuesday 22 AprilIsolated showers about the agricultural area and west coast, more likely south of about Adelaide. Possible isolated early morning thunderstorms south of about Adelaide. Mild, grading to warm in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers over southern coasts and ranges and the Lower Eyre Peninsula. Early morning fog patches over the agricultural area and West Coast District. Mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Mainly light winds tending moderate northwesterly about southern coastal districts.Thursday 24 AprilPossible isolated showers about southern coastal districts, more likely about the Lower South East coast. Early morning fog patches over the West Coast district. Generally mild. Warm in the far north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday to midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over southern coastal areas with possible isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm about the Lower South East district.Friday until SundayPossible isolated afternoon showers about the Lower South East coast on Friday. Possible isolated showers developing over western districts south of about Coober Pedy during Friday then extending over areas south of Leigh Creek and north of Renmark on Saturday. Mild to warm with mainly light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
