MELBOURNE - Apr 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over western NSW extends a ridge across the state. This ridge is forecast to remain the dominant feature in the region during the next couple of days, until a weak trough moves across the state Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayMostly clear. Light to moderate northeasterly winds along the northern coast, southwesterly winds remainder.Monday 21 AprilFine and mostly sunny apart from the chance of a shower or two along the exposed coast in the south. Early frost patches about the ranges, and a few early fog patches in the east. Light and variable winds tending moderate northerly in the far west, and afternoon sea breezes along the coast.Tuesday 22 AprilFine and partly cloudy apart from isolated showers near the Victorian border. Early frost patches about the ranges. Northwest to northeasterly winds, turning southwesterly in the far southwest later.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere. Warm day for the northwest. Northwest to northeasterly winds before a southerly change extends through the west and south.Thursday 24 AprilIsolated showers about the coast and eastern ranges. Generally fine remainder. Warm day in the north, particularly west of the ranges.
