MELBOURNE - Apr 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1020 hPa over western New South Wales is moving eastwards. A cold front is expected to reach Nullarbor around midday Monday, a line Robe to Adelaide to Tarcoola late Monday evening and Yunta to Marla late Tuesday morning. Another high will develop over the Bight later on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers near the Lower South East coast. Patchy rain developing over Kangaroo Island from late afternoon. Possible early morning fog patches over Lower Eyre Peninsula and on and near the ranges north of Balaklava. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north and west. Light winds, becoming moderate to fresh northerly in the far west.Monday 21 AprilPatchy rain over the far southeast. Possible isolated showers over the remainder of southeast and about southern and western coasts. Warm with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, strong at times in the south, ahead of a cooler moderate south to southwesterly change reaching a line Robe to Adelaide to Tarcoola late evening.Tuesday 22 AprilIsolated showers about the agricultural area and west coast, more likely about south central and southeastern parts. Mild, grading to warm in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 23 AprilPossible isolated light showers over the southern agricultural area. Early morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Mainly light winds tending moderate northwesterly about southern coastal districts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East district.Thursday until SaturdayPossible isolated showers about southern coastal districts. Generally mild.
