MELBOURNE - Apr 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system near Adelaide is extending a ridge into western New South Wales in the wake of a cold front. This ridge is forecast to remain the dominant feature in the region during the next couple of days, until a weak trough moves across the state Tuesday and Wednesday with very little rainfall expected. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from the chance of a morning shower or two along the coastal fringe in the north. Early frost patches about the ranges and slopes, mainly in the southeast. A few early fog patches in the east, otherwise a mostly sunny day. Light to moderate southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly along the northern coast in the afternoon. Dangerous surf conditions, easing during the morning.Monday 21 AprilFine apart from the chance of showers along the coastal fringe in the south. Early frost patches about the tablelands. Mostly sunny. Light and variable winds inland, tending northeast to southeasterly near the coast.Tuesday 22 AprilFine apart from isolated showers near the Victorian border. Northwest to northeasterly winds, turning southwesterly in the southwest later.Wednesday 23 AprilIsolated showers in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere. Warm day for the northern inland.
